CSA Farm Share
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you sign up for a CSA through us, you are purchasing a "share" of vegetables from Gateway Farm. You purchase your CSA before the beginning of the growing season, guaranteeing a market for our produce, and ensuring local jobs for community members. Our CSA directly connects our farmers to individuals and families, helping to supply organic, high quality, nutritious food every week. You can rest assured, knowing that 100% of your dollar goes directly to Gateway Farm. In turn, supporting your local community, agriculture, and economy.
Each week you'll stop by the farm to pick up your box of goodies- an ever changing, high quality, insanely fresh assortment of seasonal vegetables and herbs, hand harvested by our passionate farm crew. In each box there may be vegetables you recognize, and know how to use, and others that may be a complete mystery to you. We encourage you to ask us question about unknown items, take a look at how they are grown in the field, and even take a peek in the hoop house. As a bonus, we offer recipes each week in our newsletter, that coincide with what is available in our CSA, helping to spark some seasonal inspiration for your next meal.
COST & SEASON INFORMATION:
Our CSA is a first come first serve sign-up system on our website. We start taking sign up late February- early March. There will be a $650 fee when you sign up which covers the cost of the CSA for the whole season. The CSA season is 22 weeks long and will run June through late October.
WHEN & WHERE DO I PICK UP MY CSA?
CSAs will be picked up either directly at the big red barn on the farm, or during market season, at the market stand located at the far east corner of the property. CSAs will be picked up once a week, between Noon and 6pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. At the beginning of the season when you purchase your CSA, you will choose which day will work better for you, depending on your schedule and flexibility. Once you have chosen your pick-up day, we would prefer it if you always picked up on that day. However, if for some reason you need to switch your pick-up day, please let us know a week in advance, either in person or via email.
WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE FARM TO PICK UP MY CSA?
No worries! If you can't make it to the farm to pick up you CSA, you can always send a family member, friend, or neighbor to collect your share. If for some reason you or someone else is unable to collect your CSA contact us via email, to let us know you are unable to stop by.
